Affiliate Marketing Business Letters- Writing Tips
One of the secrets to a successful affiliate marketing business is excellent letter writing. You need to know how to communicate in such a way as to make the people in your mailing list respond. For some, writing effective e-mails may seem to come naturally. Fortunately, eager and determined affiliate marketers can learn how to do it too. Here are some top tips to consider:
• The first thing e-mail recipients will ever notice is your subject. This is why you should put more effort into creating subjects that are immediately attractive but are at the same time crystal clear. A good subject example is a clear statement of a promotional offer. As much as possible, avoid baiting your clients with promises of mysterious surprises. They get a lot of that in the form of spam and you don’t want to be mistaken for a spammer.
• Use short statements in the letter body. Don’t let your clients read through sentences that are several lines long. Shorter statements are easier to digest and understand especially if you have clients who are always in a hurry.
• The body of the letter itself should be short. At the most, you should not go over 200-250 words. These words should in turn be divided into a couple of short paragraphs. If there is anything more that you would want your potential client to know, provide a link to relevant content in your site.
• As much as possible, affiliate marketing business letters should be direct. Tell your reader immediately what he can get out of your offer. Readers often do not have the patience to read through preliminary paragraphs about you or the history of your product. Leave these details on your website where readers can access them if they wish to.
• Your product or service may have several benefits. It would be kinder to your readers if you enumerated these in bulleted lists instead of writing them in a paragraph. Bulleted lists simply stand out and make for easy reading.
• Make sure you have all the essential information in your letter. You would want a potential client know how much an offer will cost, if the offer is time sensitive and how they can avail of the offer.
• Do not appear too desperate in your affiliate marketing business letters. This simply means you should avoid writing words in all caps, using too many exclamation points or repeating how extremely valuable your offer is. Avoid glaring illustrations too. These will turn off your reader because you will make him feel that you are hard selling.
• Your affiliate marketing business should have a professional image. One way to make that show in your letters is through a formal signature. Aside from your name, you might consider adding your designation, website address, relevant links and alternative contact information.
• Don’t make more than one or two offers. Again, stuffing too many offers in one letter will reek of desperation. Besides, multiple offers will only confuse and overload your readers.
There are many other tips for writing affiliate marketing business letters. You should however, experiment first on these nine basic ideas. If they don’t get the ball rolling for you, you might want to consider enrolling in a short course in online business writing.

Great Tips! I have found that the Subject is the most important followed closely by the first paragraph! If you got the person to open the letter it is just as important to keep their attention and keep them reading!
