Make Money Online in MyLot
A lot of people in my region have become addicted to myLot. Apparently though, more people haven’t heard of it yet. According to the site itself, there are only a little over 175,000 myLotters around.
Method of Online Earning: Direct and indirect earnings
Basic Description: MyLot is like a huge forum where members can discuss nearly any topic on earth. In some respects the site is also a social network of sorts. Members are allowed to keep customizable profiles, make friend requests, upload pictures and more.
How to Earn Online: MyLot members earn by posting discussions, responding to discussions, uploading images and responding to comments. In other words, you get paid to participate. You can also earn by sending friends and family your referral link and you earn 25% of their earnings through discussions and image uploads.
Some members also try to earn off myLot indirectly. Posts may carry links to member owned sites, affiliate sites or referral sites. This can lead to additional traffic some of which may become customers, referrals or ad clickers. Be warned though, myLot requires quality responses and discussions. Posting links unrelated to the discussion, posting discussions asking people to click on your links, posting blatant advertising and the like might earn you a deletion of your post or discussion.
You can get your payment through Paypal once it reaches a minimum of $10.
Earning Computation: Like many other make money online opportunities, myLot is keeping mum about its exact earning computation policies and guidelines. MyLot simply states that discussion activity earnings are:
“…calculated based on a proprietary model that rewards quality responses, relevant discussions and images.”
The site also says that earnings algorithms have been designed by math experts.
Good luck trying to figure out how they compute earnings because you probably never will. MyLot guidelines also say that posting discussions that inaccurately explain the earnings algorithm is prohibited.
Pros: This can be a pretty enjoyable site to get into. If you enjoy participating in regular forums, then why not join myLot instead where you get paid for your opinions.
Cons: MyLot is serious about requiring high quality contributions and posts. You will earn less or not earn anything at all if you post one liners or “yes or no” questions. The problem with this though is that coming up with quality contributions takes a lot of time and you get very little for your efforts. You probably need over 500 quality posts to earn the minimum payout.
Recently, myLot FAQs also state that they now only pay through Paypal. I think they had other payment options in the past but I suppose they now only use Paypal. You will forfeit the balance of your earnings if you do not log into your account for 90 days or more.
My Verdict: MyLot is a fun place to be in but I think that you shouldn’t attempt to earn off myLot alone. It is best to participate and earn through MyLot only as a pastime. Post discussions and responses on your free time or free days and don’t take earning online through myLot very seriously.
Note:
I once started a blog on reviews of sites that offer money online opportunities. My busy schedule has prevented me from keeping that blog alive. I shall therefore be re posting here some of my articles from there.
